The history of the Diagonal
This is not just any diagonal.
This is our Diagonal.
Born from the imagination of Princess Grace in 1960, it has become a marker of our Club since its first appearance on our shirt. It carries with it some of our fondest memories, including the Cup/Championship double in 1963.
Wearing the diagonal shirt is a tribute to the rich history of AS Monaco and to its players who have always worn this princely tunic with the pride that is due. The Diagonal has been worn by some of the greatest players: Trézéguet, Gallardo, Giuly, Morientes, Ettori, Henry, Hoddle, Klinsmann, Amoros, Cossou, Anderson, Djorkaeff, Marquez, Berbatov, Bernardo Silva, Ben Yedder, Falcao, Mbappé, Weah and so many others
Today, it also refers to the building where our future talent is trained.
History and youth the diagonal is rooted in us.
